By choosing Option 1 and submitting this form, you will immediately receive a separate email to complete our claim form. Please complete this as soon as possible so we can get started on your claim. The deadline for your 2023/2024 return if issued by HMRC, is the 31st January 2024. There is a chance that HRMC has increased your tax code which will mean that you could have already received your refund through your tax code. We will inform you of this and if you have already benefited through your tax code then we will only charge our minimum fee of £60+ VAT (£72 including VAT) to file your self-assessment. If your tax code was put up by HMRC but your expenses are smaller for this self-assessment then you may owe HMRC some money back. Your assigned accountant will inform you of this after you have completed your full application form.
Choosing option 3 or 4 will mean we will be removing Swift Refunds authority to be your accountant with HMRC and closing your account on our company database. The responsibility to close or file your own self-assessment with HMRC is yours and Swift Refunds will not be liable to pay any fines or any other costs you receive from HRMC. We will close your account on our database and remove ourselves as your tax agent 7 days after you submit this form.
Choosing option 2 means we will require you to accept our minimum charge of £60 + VAT (£72 in total). Our accountants also need to see your 2024 p60/last payslip of the tax year in order to make a full assessment. If your tax code was put up by HMRC then we will still need to file a final self-assessment for your for 2024 tax year before closing your self-assessment record.
